Position Summary

Empower Access Alliance is seeking an exceptional and visionary leader to serve as the organization’s first Executive Director. As a prominent organization dedicated to promoting safe, effective, and high-quality pharmaceutical compounding practices, the Executive Director will be an individual who is passionate about garnering membership and advancing the interests of members while advocating for favorable business and regulatory outcomes in an ever-evolving healthcare and policy landscape. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead with purpose and drive meaningful impact in shaping the future of pharmaceutical compounding. The Executive Director will serve as the Chief Executive Officer of Empower Access Alliance, responsible for advancing its mission, driving membership, managing operations, and driving strategic initiatives.

This role involves policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, financial stewardship, and organizational leadership. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a passion for public health, regulatory policy, and advancing safe compounding practices.

 

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to advance Empower Access Alliance’s mission and goals.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and execute the organization’s strategic plan.
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for Empower Access Alliance, representing the organization in public forums, conferences, and with media outlets.

Policy Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop and implement advocacy strategies to influence federal, state, and local policies affecting pharmaceutical compounding.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, legislators, healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, and industry partners.
  • Monitor regulatory and legislative developments, providing timely analysis and recommendations to the Board and stakeholders.

 

Operational Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring effective execution of programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

 

Financial Oversight & Fundraising

  • Develop a comprehensive strategy and actionable plan for membership acquisition.
  • Leverage networks, create compelling value propositions, and build long-term member relationships.
  • Develop and manage the organization’s annual budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency.
  • Report regularly to the Board on financial performance and organizational health.

 

Foundational Leadership

  • Build the initial team and core infrastructure to support the organization's launch and growth.
  • Define strategic priorities, operating systems, and success metrics in collaboration with the Board.

 

Communications & Outreach

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to raise awareness of Empower Access Alliance’s mission and priorities.
  • Create high-quality reports, presentations, and materials to engage stakeholders and support advocacy efforts.
  • Foster partnerships with other organizations to amplify impact and expand the network.

 

Candidate Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public health, healthcare management, business administration, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of leadership experience, preferably in healthcare policy, nonprofit management, or government affairs.
  • Proven track record in policy advocacy, coalition building, and stakeholder engagement.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical compounding practices, regulatory frameworks, and public health issues.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse groups.
  • Strong strategic planning, organizational, and financial management abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising and membership development.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory and legislative landscapes effectively.
  • Understands how to leverage digital tools, including artificial intelligence and predictive analytics, to inform strategy, amplify advocacy, and improve operational decision-making.

Location & Remuneration
